John Muir Hospital HWA designed a modular power POD, that was then manufactured by Schneider Electric, to support their critical IT services at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek, California.
The POD included a modular system incorporating two (2) 500 kilowatt Symmetra PX scalable Uninterruptible Power System (UPS), thirty-four (34) IT racks with redundant rack power distribution units (PDU), four (4) 150 KVA main power distribution cubicles, and an in-row chilled water-cooling system. All of these components were housed in a hot-aisle, self-contained system.
Santa Clara Office of Education HWA worked in conjunction with AlfaTech Engineers on a new 1,800 square foot data center for the Santa Clare Office of Education (SCCOE) in Santa Clara, California. This project included a Symmetra PX250 UPS, sixteen (16) data center IT racks, power distribution systems, high-efficiency/high-temperature in-row chilled water cooling units, EcoAisle air containment systems, and data center infrastructure management tools from Schneider Electric.
UC Berkeley HWA worked in conjunction with UC Berkeley facilities, Teecom, and FW Spencer mechanical contractors to bring a new high density computing center to the UCB Physics Lab. This project utilized in-row chilled water cooling with rack-air containment to enable up to 25 kW per rack of computational power without affecting the existing equipment in the room. This project came to fruition in early 2015 and includes ACRC301S cooling units, AR3100 IT cabinets, and Rack Air Containment hardware.
